I am a Doula that stands for Reproductive and Birthing Justice. Today, there are some many women, especially Black and Brown women in the maternal health care are dying from pregnancy-related complications and/or childbirth. Black women are over three times more likely of dying compared to white women. And their babies are half as likely to live to see their first birthday. Something has to change! That is why I am on this journey to break this cycle and fix the broken maternity system and empower those who believe they do not have a voice. I want every woman of color to know that they can have the type pregnancy and childbirth that they desire regardless of their race, class or gender polities, economic background. I am the type of Doula that will hold the space and stand in the gap for all birthing persons that come to me for support.
